The Aim of IT Department

The main aim of Information Technology is to provide information quickly and accurately. Computer is a device which can process into input data as information quickly today. Therefore, students are taught in Information technology Course about operation of computer and how to use ICT.

To get A.G.T.I (IT) Diploma Certificate, students have to study for three years and sit exams twice per Academic year. The teaching method of Information Technology is 60% in practical and 40% in theory. At the end of Academic year, first year students and second year students have to go practical field trip for one month and third year students have to go internship for three months.

One hour per one lecture / class

Seven lecture times per one day

thirty- five weeks per Academic Year ( private study and examination )

Grading System

  1. Exam Marks (81-100) => Grade “A”
  2. Exam Marks (61-80)   => Grade “B”
  3. Exam Marks (41-60)   => Grade “C”
  4. Exam Marks (21-40)   => Grade “D”
  5. Exam Marks (0-20)     => Grade “E”

Knowledge Sharing in IT Department during Covid-19 period

Teachers in IT Department are shared Analog and Digital Electronics Course by Saya U Wanna Aung from 2.7.2020 to 14.7.2020.

Teachers in IT Department are shared Arduino by Dr. Phyu Phyu Thin from 15.7.2020 to 30.72020.

Digital literacy needed for online Tools is shared to teachers of GTC (Myingyan) by Dr. Phyu Phyu Thin, Daw Khine Zin Win and Daw Thandar Tun from 10.8.2020 to 21.8.2020.

At the end of 2017-2018 Academic Year, 6BE(IT) students made field trip in  group to study in NETPLUS IT CO., LTD၊ One Cloud CO., LTD, MRTV (Naypyitaw) and Ministry of Commerce.

At the end of 2017-2018 Academic Year, A.G.T.I second year IT students visited E-learning Center, TU (Yadanabon Cyber City).

At the end of 2018-2019 Academic Year, A.G.T.I third year students visited a field trip in group to One Cloud CO., LTD, Mandalay Computer Professionals Association and MRTV Sub-station (Popa, Kyaukpadaung Township).

At the end of 2018-2019 Academic Year, A.G.T.I (2G-IT) Students were divided into three groups and they made project for Students Skill and Project Competition of GTC (Myingyan).

Group A- Transmitting Wireless Connection using TP-Link E210 CPE project record

Group B- Mini-Project of Analyze Data using QR Code project record

Group C- Creating Students Registration Webpage for Our College project record

At the end of 2018-2019 Academic Year, first year and second year students made students Skill and Project Competition in GTC (Myingyan) according to corresponding courses.

 

IT Department of GTC (Myingyan) competed in Skills and Innovations Competitions of GTI and GTHS held in GTI (Insein) with Hardware and Software Installation for Personal Computer (Skill Competition) as World Youth Skill Day Commemoration and won third prize on July 16, 2019.
